Where the well-being of women takes precedence

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am,

then I can change.”

Carl Rogers

According to the person-centered approach (Carl Rogers, 1959), individuals possess within themselves vital resources for understanding and transforming their self-concepts, fundamental attitudes, and self-directed behaviors. In an environment defined by unconditional positive regard, empathy, and congruence, person-centered psychotherapy empowers individuals to uncover their deepest needs, and develop their own path towards self-actualization.

My approach is rooted in the synthetic model of psychotherapy, drawing primarily from person-centered therapy and mindfulness-based psychotherapy. The therapeutic process involves investigating the client’s request, understanding their experience from their own frame of reference, through mirroring emotions and using mindfulness practices to "train" the mind and cultivate awareness in the present moment. The aim is to illuminate the client’s deepest desires and needs, facilitate overcoming obstacles and support them in discovering the path towards personal growth and self-actualization, always with discretion and confidentiality.

I provide individual psychotherapy sessions for teenagers and adults, both in person and online, in Greek and English.
